Creatives know all too well that truly unique ideas and concepts stem from deep within the ‘flow’ zone. That place where inhibition finally takes a back seat and the ideas just start flowing. When you’re finally comfortable to express every half baked idea that comes to you, that’s when you are bound to hit gold. Afterwards the result is usually a large amount of unpolished diamonds.
It’s tough getting stuck before creative flow, but getting stuck post-creative flow is even worse. This is where I really like 1 Minute Miracle’s approach. 1MM gets into the swing of it, gets his ideas down and releases them as is, hence the name.
Now that you know what to expect, I suggest checking out his new album (Free download). This is the electronic musician’s Post-punk, the antithesis for pro-tools, it may hurt as you digest it but it’s what you need.
this is my new double album called “DON VAN VLIET” ~ it was improvised with a couple cheap synths & drum machines ~ recorded direct to cassette ~ no samples / sloppy-ass beats ~ started May 14th 2012/finished June 12th 2012
